That Catalogue record is fantastic! Reminds me of Missing Persons (in a good way). Thanks for getting it on my radar.

Separately, how was the Sweeping Promises show? GLICY is on my shortlist for Record of the year, and I was bummed I had to miss their Milwaukee date.

Hey, sorry to hear you missed that. Very good, very no frills: guitar-bass-drums, Lira and Caufield both had strong stage presences and were having fun with it. Spread Joy and Clickbait as openers were great too as they always were. SP as a whole still hasn't fully clicked as a whole beyond a few songs for me though, so I'm not sure it was fantastic per se, but if you were really into them you probably only would've been disappointed by them playing for only an hour. Hopefully they will swing by again soon enough for you ...

Speaking of SP, was spinning records from the latest Turntable Report last night and came across this from them on a compilation within, which features Lira giving one of the most unhinged vocal deliveries I've heard in a while: https://girlsville.bandcamp.com/track/sweeping-promises-egyptian-shumba

Yeah, I’m hoping they come back through too! I’m (very slowly) working my way through that Turntable Report, and haven’t made it this far yet. This track is great! Thanks for sharing it here.
